135B of RP Act

As per 135B of Representation of People (RP) Act, persons who are eligible to vote (i.e. those whose names are present in the voters list) and are residents of the constituency where elections are being held, are eligible to take a paid leave from their company for casting their vote. In other words, every citizen has the right to tell their boss that they are going to vote on the election/bye-election day and they cannot be denied their pay for that day. Refer for complete details and exceptions.
