Redifining Attention !!!

First-year students at Medical School were receiving their first anatomy
class with a real dead human body. They all gathered around the surgery
table with the body covered with a white sheet.
The professor started the class by telling them, "In medicine, it is
necessary to have 2 important qualities as a doctor : The first is that
you are not disgusted by anything involving the human body."
For an example, the professor pulled back the sheet, stuck his finger in
the butt of the corpse, withdrew it and stuck it in his mouth."Go ahead
and do the same thing," he told his students.

A wonderful article on accepting things

Dr. Alan Zimmerman's Comments:

Sooner or later, everyone you know will disappoint you in some way.
They'll say something or fail to say something that will hurt you.
And they'll do
something or fail to do something that will anger you. It's inevitable.

Unfortunately, you make things worse when you stew over someone's
words and deeds. When you dwell on a rude remark or an insensitive
action
made by another person, you're headed for deeper problems.

In fact, the more you dwell on these things, the more bitter you'll get.

the same night.

2. If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race has
not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word would be

you to share yours with them.

Good Philosophical Note

A good philosophical note.
==========================

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by
holding up a $20.00 bill.

In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like
this $20 bill?"

Hands started going up.

He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one
of you but first, let me do this.
He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill.

He then asked,

"Who still wants it?"

Still the hands were up in the air.

"Well," he replied, "what if I do this?"

And he dropped it on the ground and started to
grind it into the floor with his shoe.

Triple Filter

In ancient Greece, Socrates was reputed to be held in high esteem
because of his knowledge.
One day an acquaintance met the great philosopher and said, 'Do you
know what I just heard about your friend?'
'Hold on a minute,' Socrates replied. 'Before telling me anything I'd
like you to pass a little test. It's called the Triple Filter Test.
'Triple filter?'
'That's right,' Socrates continued.
'Before you talk to me about my friend, it might be a good idea to
take a moment and filter what you're going to say. That's why I call
it the triple filter test. The first filter is Truth.

Healing Touch
--Praveen Gupta

"First break all the rules", "Challenge the stereotypes", "Live for
the moment", "Resolutions are for lesser mortals", "What the hell" are
some of the thoughts that reverberate my mind towards the end of every
year. Even though I guess this is just another lame attempt at
emphasizing my individuality, but my heart swells with immense pride
at the thought of me being weird. After all the fad of being different

Motivation

The history of the baby frog.......

Once upon a time there was a bunch of baby frogs....

... participating in a
competition.
The target was to get to the top of a high tower.

A crowd of people had gathered to observe the race and encourage the
participants.....

The start shot rang out.......

Quite honestly:
None of the onlookers believed that the baby frogs could actually
accomplish getting to the top of the tower.
Words like:
"Åh, it's too difficult!!!
They'll never reach the top."
or:
"Not a chance... the tower is too high!"
